News & Projects

Hi there, has been quite a while since my last post! Drawing a lot, so little time to write.

Nevertheless, I've been more active at Instagram, since it has proven to be quicker and easier to share news there, at least for me.

My IG account is "newconceptcomics" (and there's a link at the right of the screen), so you can't miss. See you there! But I'll keep posting on the blog and Facebook from time to time, too!

Another preview from a New Concept Comics project, written and drawn by N. F. Colacitti.

Based on the works by Carl G. Jung, Aleister Crowley, Manly P. Hall, among others, the story uses symbolism, contradictions and hidden messages that invite the reader to think, question and somehow be a part of the narration.

Level Up!

Another new year coming, so I just wanted to give my best wishes to everyone involved in New Concept Comics and to all the visitors worldwide!
Let's finish this 2011 with a little overview of the things done since my last post, including: storyboards, test pages, color tests, and a large etc, for screen writers and comic book writers.
This also includes a new project I'm working on, I won't say anything about it yet, but it has to do with my previous post.

New Page

Here's a comic page I've been doing lately, inspired by the video game Crysis 2,
simply to try a new style and to expand my gallery (no profit intended with the use of the characters).
But, Crytek... maybe interested in a comic? ;P

Exercising...

Process of a narrative exercise I did recently.
The idea was to take a page from an author who inspired me and reinterpret it and draw it in my own style.
I took an example from the great Mike Parobeck (1965-1996) from his work on "Batman Adventures".
This page will be on display this year in the local event "comics' week" (Mar del Plata, Argentina).

Tests

This is some of the latest stuff I've been working on: several tests for different projects doing pencils, inks and colors. Everything it's drawn by me except the toon style, which I only colored.

Another one

Another page from the new project. I've been adding textures and shadows with the inks (which I originally thought to do with the colors).
Some of the windows won't be exploding in the final version.
